How to care for your keychain

• Wipe gently with a dry soft cloth every few weeks.

Frequently asked questions

How many photos do I need to upload?
Three to five clear, well-lit photos work best. Front-on shots of your pet’s face in natural daylight are ideal. Include at least one close-up of the eyes and one that shows fur patterns or markings clearly.

My pet has mixed fur / rare markings / a funny face — can you capture that?
Yes. Mixed fur and unusual markings are one of the things we do best, because this is a portrait of your specific pet. Upload the clearest photos you have; we handle the rest.

Can you make a keychain of my pet who has passed away?
We can, and we do this often. A meaningful portion of our keychain orders are memorial pieces. Upload the best photos you have (even older or lower-resolution ones) and our artisan will work from them.

Will the leather fade or crack over time?
No. Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather is the most durable hide used in leather-working. With normal daily use it will darken and develop a natural patina, but it will not peel or crack like coated bonded leathers sold at lower price points.

Can I include two pets on one keychain?
Yes. Contact us before ordering if you want a side-by-side double portrait; we’ll confirm scale, and the piece is quoted at the same base price with no extra charge for two pets of similar size.

Can I add custom engraving on the back (a name or date)?
Yes. Leave your requested text in the checkout notes (name, date, short phrase up to 24 characters). Added at no extra cost.

What happens if I don’t like the preview?
You get one free revision. Tell our artisan what to adjust (fur color, eye shape, expression) and they’ll re-work the piece and send a new preview. We don’t ship until you approve.

How long does shipping actually take?
Crafting takes 2–3 weeks. Shipping adds 5–10 business days (US/EU/UK) or 7–14 business days (AU/NZ/Asia). Total: roughly 4 weeks door-to-door. Rush options available — contact us before ordering.

Can I cancel my order?
Yes — within 24 hours of placing it, for a full refund. After 24 hours our artisan has already begun the carving work, so cancellation is no longer possible. Full terms are on our Refund Policy page.
